“The Undivine Comedy” is a theatrical work inspired by Dante Alighieri’s “The Divine Comedy.” It delves into contemporary issues such as immigration, racism, and poverty through the lenses of our characters as Dante and Vergil in New York City divided into Heaven, Purgatory and Hell.

The story is based on the history of a treaty port in Chefoo, China from 1908-1945. The story focuses on a Hotel founded by a Chinese owner for Western travelers in the treaty port throughout 30 years of history.
